Ammonia21.com Relaunches as Global Marketplace for Ammonia Products and News

am21 old to new

ATMOsphere (formerly shecco) has announced the relaunch of Ammonia21.com as a marketplace comprising ammonia/NH3 (R717) HVAC&R products and services and the latest news from around the world.

“We have identified a clear need in the market for credible, trusted and independent information around low-charge ammonia technology and applications – especially as more players across the world become engaged in this growing market sector,” explained Marc Chasserot, CEO of ATMOsphere and founder of Ammonia21.com.

Chasserot predicts that the 2020s will see an increase in the global uptake of ammonia cooling and heating systems. This is partially due to environmental concerns and the phase down of f-gases. However, technological innovations have also led to the development of new systems with decreased refrigerant charges needed, thus reducing any risk associated with installation and use of ammonia systems.

This renewed uptake has created a need for a credible source of information for the latest on ammonia cooling – a need that the new Ammonia21.com is designed to meet.

The relaunch of Ammonia21.com follows the relaunch of its sister marketplaces, with R744.com relaunching in April 2021 and Hydrocarbons21.com in February 2022.

Established in 2009

The relaunched Ammonia21.com is not starting from scratch; it has already established itself as a reliable source since its founding in 2009, generating millions of page views and inspiring many innovators over the years.

In addition to the latest news and information about the sites’ partners, the revamped Ammonia21.com includes a marketplace where users can browse products and sort them by categories like components, systems and services. It is also possible to narrow a search to include only products available in one’s home region, making it easier to find the best local options.

Ammonia21.com’s readers include some of the most influential decision makers in the industry: from end users, manufacturers and contractors to those in media, government and academia. Its global reach spans more than 100 countries and extends from leading markets, such as Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia, to emerging markets, such as Latin America, China, and South Africa.

The site covers all ammonia applications, including refrigeration and heat pumps. “This website will become a key tool for end users to empower and educate themselves around the best available ammonia products and services on the market,” said Chasserot.
