The firm, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, is headquartered in Uboldo, Varese in the Italian region of Lombardy. It has 10 production units around the world and has been in the sector for over 30 years.
“We have one of the biggest R&D laboratories in our sector in Europe and we have been collaborating closely for over 30 years with the Polytechnic University of Milan and over 21 other universities all over the world,” said Livio Perrotta, marketing manager, cooling systems business unit, LU-VE GROUP.
This focus on R&D has allowed the company to become one of the world’s leading heat exchanger manufacturers.
LU-VE has developed and applied innovations it the NH3 field, introducing in 2005 a new range of unit coolers for NH3 with optimised design and a very low internal volume.
In 2016 the firm introduced its new EMERITUS® technology, bringing together the benefits of spray systems and adiabatic pre-cooling. Applied to NH3 condensers, EMERITUS® can reduce the internal refrigerant charges by over 50% compared to an evaporative condenser.
