TECNOFREDDO becomes Silver Partner on ammonia21.com

The company has 25 years of experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration engineering.

Italy-based TECNOFREDDO has over 25 years of experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration engineering.

“Made in Italy means creativity, intelligence, design, research and reliability,” Nicola D’Acquisto, head of the technical department at TECNOFREDDO, told ammonia21.com.

To showcase how these ammonia solutions can be used for various applications, the company has become a Silver Partner on ammonia21.com.

The company makes a wide range of products, from air and water condensing units to chillers.

“We can provide many different ammonia solutions such as chillers, reversible heat-pumps, multi-compressor racks and pump skids,” D’Acquisto said.
Natural refrigerants play a pivotal role in mitigating climate change and reducing carbon emissions while improving energy efficiency and controlling energy consumption, which counts 15% of world energy consumption in refrigeration and air conditioning only.

All the products are packaged solutions that can be modified at the customer’s request. “Our ammonia products can be designed with both screw and piston compressors; direct expansion and flooded versions are available; several high efficiency heat exchanger configurations are also possible,” he explained.

The company makes natural refrigerant-based systems using ammonia, CO2 and propane.

“Natural refrigerants play a pivotal role in mitigating climate change and reducing carbon emissions while improving energy efficiency and controlling energy consumption, which counts 15% of world energy consumption in refrigeration and air conditioning only,” D’Acquisto said.

The company has invested in targeting the industrial sector in a wide range of applications.

“Now more than ever, ammonia has found its position in medium to large-scale air-conditioning for office buildings, universities, distribution centres and airports, through the installation of ammonia heat pumps for heating and cooling,” he said.

TECNOFREDDO is also investing heavily in more natural refrigerant products. He said, “we are also working on creating a series of very compact low-charge ammonia chillers for small to medium-scale applications”.
