Opening of natural refrigerant national education centre

The Dutch association of companies in refrigeration and air conditioning NVKL will open the first training centre for natural refrigerants in Europe on 28 April. Situated in Ede, in the Netherlands, it will provide practical and theoretical classes for ammonia and other natural refrigerants.

On Wednesday 28 April 2010, NVKL will officially open the doors of the first training centre of natural refrigerants in Europe. As one of the main countries for development in refrigeration technology, the Netherlands is now also at the forefront for natural refrigerant technology. The new training center will be offering training regarding safety issues, the design of efficient systems as well as the specific characteristics of the refrigerant when it comes to the installation and maintenance.

Moreover, training refrigeration units will allow effective hands-on training. It is also planned that the centre provide practical training for the fire brigade or the police force in order to train them on how to handle natural refrigerants.

Programme for opening

The opening takes place on 28 April in the city of Ede including a guided tour through the facilities.
